Improve your Dutch over a weekend!

NedLes organizes a two-day intensive course in a beautiful 18th century canal house in Amsterdam. The program is designed to be a total immersion in the Dutch language and all participants are asked to speak Dutch the whole weekend.
The minimum level requirement is the ability to hold a simple conversation in Dutch for short periods at a time. The maximum level is near fluency.
What we offer:
- 2 x lunch, 2 x drinks, 2 x dinner, unlimited coffee, thee, mineral water
- Total immersion. All weekend speaking Dutch
- A large variety of speaking exercises in different settings. Large and small group discussions as well as one on one
- Requests. Between the classes you're welcome to ask the teachers for specific assistance; e.g. correction of a written assignment, explanation on a specific grammar topic, explanation of a newspaper article, etc.
- Dutch reading materials. There will be plenty of Dutch literature available, both simple and complex, as well as language lesson materials.
Grammar items to be explained and practiced:
- Word order in main clauses and sub clauses
- Conjunctions
- Relative sub clauses
- Relative pronouns and relative pronouns with preposition
- Adjectives
- Verbs: past and perfect tense
- The passive voice
- Separable verbs
- Prepositions
Speaking items to be explained and practiced:
- How to say: 'I agree'? Ik ben het ermee eens / ik ben het er niet mee eens, ik ben het met je/hem/haar eens
- How to say: 'It depends'? Het hangt ervan af of .. / het hangt van .. af
- The use of liggen / zitten / staan / in the meaning of 'to be'
- The use of leggen / stoppen / zetten in the meaning of 'to put'
- The use of constructions like Ik zit te lezen / ik ben aan het lezen (I am reading)
- The use of 'small' words like even, maar, toch, wel, hoor
Other items:
- how can you learn if it's a de or a het word
- how can you learn the irregular verbs
